The Institute of Education, Heritage, and Tourism (IETT), in collaboration with the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT), organized a study visit where students had the opportunity to merge history with technology, reflecting on modern approaches to preserving and enhancing the museum experience and cultural heritage.
The visit began at the Kruja Museum, where students explored ways to integrate modern technologies to enrich the visitor experience and create stronger connections with history and culture.
Next, at the Ethnographic Museum, they were introduced to the applications of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), discussing potential digital advancements that could enhance visitor interaction with exhibits and provide a more immersive experience.
Throughout the study visit, students not only identified existing challenges faced by museums but also proposed technological solutions to make museums more interactive, accessible, and engaging for the general public.
The activity concluded with a traditional lunch, where students enjoyed local specialties while taking in the breathtaking landscapes of Kruja.
