The second day of the conference, presented by Peter Seccombe, England brought to the participants very interesting lectures on culture, world heritage, tourism, museums, architecture, etc.
The keynote address was given by Dirk Gotzmann, Director of CIVILSCAPE, Germany. The presentation focused on the Council of Europe Convention on Landscape or otherwise known as the Florence Convention. Gotzmann reminded us that landscape is inextricably linked to personal perception that encompasses all our senses.
Among the presentations of the second day, we would single out the representation of Albania from the pedagogy of the Department of Tourism at the University of Durrës, Dr. Mirela Tase, also an IETT collaborator. Eco-Tourism in Albania, the challenges it faces and its perception by the population were in the focus of this presentation. The reference to eco-tourism aroused the interest of the participants who asked various questions regarding tourism and development that this sector has undergone in the last two years in Albania.
Nina Simon, USA through her presentation about building cultural organizations that are FOR / FOR / ALL showed us that places like museums are successful because they become / from / for the community.
The second day ended with panel discussions, presented by Nina Simon (USA), Jon Kohl (Costa Rica) and Dragana Lucija Ratković Aydemir (Croatia).
