The Institute of Education, Heritage and Tourism, as a member of Interpret Europe, participated in the next webinar on ‘Museums through online days – dedication, truthfulness, distance’. Online technologies are being used more and more by museums these days as a result of the pandemic that has greatly contributed to this trend. However, the magic of a museum visit is based on the exclusive opportunity to have direct contact with unique phenomena and to assess the authenticity of the objects stored inside them.
The case study of this webinar was the use of online technologies Czech museums and the way they are coping with the distance between the audience, the performer and the phenomenon.
Ladislav Ptáček, who works in the field of heritage interpretation in the Czech Republic brought his experience on this phenomenon.
