On the weekend of October 2nd-3rd, the Institute of Education, Heritage and Tourism (IETT) with its partner organizations: The Center for Advanced Studies (CNS) and the Albanian Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (AIITC), organized the first two-day workshop within the Research Coaching Program.

The mentor of this first workshop Dr. Nedim Begović, is an experienced researcher, associate professor and vice Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, University of Sarajevo.

This workshop gathered a group of 12 fellows selected from the application process. They hold a graduate university degree, are part of universities staff and members of research-oriented NGOs from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.

Dr. Begovic worked with the researchers based on their concrete needs and priorities, with a combined method of presentations, group work and joint discussions. Fellows are expected to conduct quality research according to the research protocol agreed during the application process. As their final product, each fellow will submit a study that the organizers may decide to publish in one of the periodicals or publications issued by their organizations.

Through such projects IETT aims to: strengthen cooperation between Albanian researchers and other academic communities in the world, improve research methods, as well as support publications.
