Divjakë-Karavasta National Park is located 90 km from the capital city of Albania.
It is bordered by the Shkumbin River to the north, the Divjakë hills to the east, the Myzeqe Canal and Seman River to the south, and is bathed by the Adriatic Sea to the west. This park is the largest non-coastal wetland complex in Albania, consisting of four lagoons (Karavasta, Godullat, Godullat e Pishës, and Spiaxho) with a total area of approximately 5,000 hectares.
The park can be accessed via the main road connecting Divjakë to the National Park. This road divides the forest into two parts (North and South). The park entrance is located 1.2 km north of the park’s center and beach.

The main areas of Divjakë-Karavasta National Park include the Karavasta Lagoon, the old riverbeds of the Seman and Shkumbin rivers, the emissaries of Terbuf and Myzeqe, agricultural reservoirs, farmlands, forests along the Seman and Shkumbin rivers, Mediterranean pine forests, woodlands in the Divjakë hills, fruit orchards, olive groves, vineyards, and citrus plantations.
Divjakë National Park is one of Albania’s most extensively protected areas. It is considered one of the most beautiful and preferred destinations for vacationers along the Adriatic coast and is ideal for tourism, relaxation, picnics, scientific research, and various studies, along with its biological features and ecological biodiversity. The park’s flora and fauna represent a rare treasure for the region and beyond. According to some data, the area is home to approximately 228 different bird species.
