Korça is known as one of the pearls of southeastern Albania. Beyond its famous serenades, raki, and cuisine, the city is also recognized for its artisanal crafts.
Korça is particularly known for its tradition and art of pottery. This tradition has been cultivated in the city for generations and passed down through time. During various artistic and cultural events, artisans have showcased a variety of handcrafted products made from clay, alabaster, plaster, stone, and more.
The Pottery Fair is a long-standing tradition in Korça. It was held annually during Easter Week, at least until 1967, before being revived after 1990.

Pottery
The process of preparing clay vessels goes to several stages, from finding the raw material—soil—then mixing it with chaff to prepare the clay, shaping it in workshops, and finally baking it. Today, artisans who have preserved this tradition continue their work without interruption.
