UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) is a specialized agency of the United Nations with a focus on promoting, sustainable development, bringing innovation, investment and digital tourism transformations as one of the most important sectors of the world economy.
Striving for a safe return is the challenge that tourism around the world is going through. Given the situation created by COVID-19 and the impact it has had on people, businesses and countries around the world, UNWTO in collaboration with the WHO (World Health Organization), organized a webinar on ways and possible solutions for revitalization and prosperity of tourism.
From the call made four weeks ago, to bring innovative ideas that will serve the return of safe tourism, participated 1183 projects from 110 countries, which were evaluated by a Committee of Experts. The best presentations were presented in this webinar offering us facilitative ways for tourism. The finalists brought concrete innovations and methods that will make it possible to restore people’s trust, hope for prosperity and resumption by providing safety during travel.
