IETT participated in the 2nd International Conference on Translation organized by the National Library and Archives of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates with the theme: “Translation of the book Zayed, the man who built a state” in the Albanian language and its role in improving the image of the United Arab Emirates and its cultural heritage in the Balkans”.

The conference was organized virtually and a number of academicians and researchers from leading universities and institutions from around the world participated in this conference. In the session entitled: The role of translation in improving the image of the United Arab Emirates and its cultural heritage in the twenty-first century, the Institute of Education, Heritage and Tourism, IETT, represented by the executive director Prof. Asst. Dr. Ramiz Zekaj.

Prof. Zekaj presented the topic “Translation of the book Zayed, the man who built a state” into the Albanian language and its role in improving the image of the United Arab Emirates and its cultural heritage in the Balkans. During the presentation, the Professor presented the work done by the translators, editors, consultants, designers, etc., for the preparation and translation of this work into the Albanian language.

He focused on the importance of publishing this book in Albanian, which conveys a golden example of a great statesman, of wise leadership by a man with special gifts. The book “Zajed, the man who built a state” by Graeme H.

Wilson will soon be the next publication from IETT. The reader in this book will travel back in time and see, like a movie, the life and great work of Sheikh Zayed, who during his 33 years as president, made the EBA from a small state in global terms, to managed to conquer the world stage. Using documented facts, the recollections of statesmen and officials from around the world, the reader will paint the canvas of a diplomat who excelled by using his influence to avert wars and prevent catastrophes.

The book also includes the least known part of his life: endless charitable works, which touched the lives of hundreds of millions of people, all over the world, including Albania and Kosovo.
